Beth A. Thompson, RDH, BS, FACE, MFT
This year Beth celebrates 34 years as an RDH. She recently established the Florida Institute of Orofacial Myology, LLC, a clinic and learning center for health care providers in Port Orange, FL. Beth provides industry consulting services, Continuing Education prrgrams, Corporate Recruiting and Placement, and was the Editor in Chief for Contemporary Oral Hygiene for over six years. Her career has been multifaceted including; clinical dental therapy, dental education, sales and marketing management, speaking internationally, writing and consulting. She is a graduate of Indiana University, and Past President of the Indiana Dental Hygienist's Association. Beth is a Fellow in the Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics and serves on their advisory board.
Beth has written and presented dental continuing education courses for the past 29 years. Through out Beth’s career, her leadership and innovative talents have been recognized as she was selected by Scherer Laboratories to be one of the first dental hygiene sales representatives in the industry, she then in turn recruited and trained the first ever dental hygiene sales force, taking the product line to number one in less than two years. She teamed with the John O. Butler Company as Director of Dental Education, initiated the sonicare sales force for Optiva Corporation, creating yet another industry leader in oral care, and serves as an educational consultant for numerous dental manufacturers designing educational and marketing solutions for new diagnosis and treatment products.
Beth is the director and founder of CareerFusion, LLC, formerly CareerFlow, the 1st and only resource for dental hygiene career advancement. Her numerous years of varied successful experiences will now be shared with those interested in pursuing new non traditional career directions within health care, based on their educational and professional experiences. CareerFusion, LLC not only includes training resources and retreats, but offers employment and career placement services as well.
Clinical practice has remained stimulating for Beth as non surgical perio treatment protocols have become the standard of practice and therapeutic advancements have allowed for individualized care delivery with predictable successful results.
